Restoring teeth is one of the most important services we offer.

We can revitalise worn and damaged teeth and replace failing or missing teeth. Making such changes to your smile can bring benefits that last your whole life long, giving you better chewing ability, less susceptibility to decay and disease and a great looking set of teeth.

At Crown Bank Dental prosthodontic treatment is carried out with a view to improving your quality of life and your emotional wellbeing.

Prosthodontics: the process

There’s no single linear treatment journey with prosthodontic treatment, as every patient we see requires different types of help.

Some of the problems a prosthodontic dentist can help you with include:

  • Reshaping and recontouring teeth: tooth wear might require fillings to make them uniform and harmonious again.
  • Replacing lost or failing teeth: we can replace missing teeth with dental implants, or extract failing teeth so they can be replaced at a later stage once the jaw has healed.
  • Address jaw problems: the jaw and teeth are inextricably linked. If you have problems with clenching and grinding your teeth, you may also have structural issues with your jaw, which may need treatment.

Why is it important to replace missing teeth?

We strongly recommend replacing missing teeth at the earliest opportunity. Even several months without one or more missing teeth can cause other teeth to shift out of position and start the onset of jawbone loss at the site where teeth are missing. Having multiple missing teeth can impact people’s ability to chew the foods they enjoy and lead to poor diet and digestion. There are also emotional consequences of tooth loss, like loss of confidence and self-esteem, which can influence your day-to-day interactions with other people.

We love helping patients find their self-worth, dignity and pride again, by giving them the ability to smile, eat and speak with confidence, thanks to dental implants treatment.

What kind of materials are used to make my restorations?

Your consultation appointment will be an opportunity to outline the materials we have available and their characteristics. Whilst some patients might be looking for a cost-effective and durable solution others may wish to consider more premium materials for the most aesthetically pleasing finish possible.

Who carries out my treatment?

Your prosthodontic treatment is overseen by your dentist here at Crown Bank Dental. They will work with our experienced dental technician, who will create bespoke restorations and prostheses that deliver a solution to the given diagnosis.

We take pride in being self-proclaimed sticklers for detail! Careful planning is crucial to a predictable treatment outcome that looks naturally beautiful and healthy, and you can expect this with us at Crown Bank Dental.
