We’re experienced at performing oral surgery to treat and resolve a variety of problems with the teeth, mouth and jaw.

If you’re a little daunted at the idea of having oral surgery, please try not to worry. Our dental surgeons are highly experienced and continue to develop their skills with additional advanced training.

Principal Dental Surgeon Dr Mehdi Yazdi is very experienced at providing surgical dentistry, having cultivated his skills in hospital surgical departments. He also contributes to the training of junior dentists in Oral Surgery. You can be assured that you’re in the most competent hands with Mehdi and the rest of the Crown Bank Dental team.

Why might you need oral surgery?

There are several reasons why you might need the help of the oral surgeon here at Crown Bank Dental:

  • Impacted wisdom teeth: we may recommend wisdom tooth removal if we find they have become troublesome and you’re suffering from repeated infections and decay.
  • Implants: dental implants are surgically placed into the jawbone.
  • Failing teeth: teeth that are beyond saving with root canal treatment can be surgically removed.
  • Dental implant solutions: patients who don’t have enough bone to accommodate dental implants can benefit from surgical procedures like a bone graft or a sinus lift, to create healthy bone.
  • Preparation for orthodontic treatment: if you have crowded teeth, we may suggest removing these teeth to create space, allowing you to wear a brace to straighten your teeth.

Oral Surgery: the process

The process behind your oral surgery will depend on the desired outcome. We’ll go through everything with you, so you know exactly what to expect.

How will I feel after oral surgery?
